Remote Energy Monitoring has assembled a world leading managment team to bring their propostion to market and ultimately provide a unique end to end smart metering solution.
Dr George Katrib
is the Inventor and Lead Designer for the existing prepayment meter and Multi Mode Meter development.
He has a Batchelor of Engineering from Aleppo University (Syria) and an M, Sc. In Power Measurement from Heriot-Watt University in the UK where his research works led to the development of a digital Watt-meter. His Ph.D. in Power Electronics from Strathclyde University in the UK was on the transient and steady state behaviour of a Three-phase induction motor driven by a phase-controlled supply. A microprocessor based phase-control system and a digital point-on-wave switch were designed and built. These were used to test the model.
Doctor Katrib has authored and published the following patents:
Since, 1996 Dr George has been devoted to the research and development of Electronic Electricity meters (single phase single tariff meter, electricity meter hybrids, energy transducers, single phase multiple tariff meters, single phase prepayment smart card meter with multiple tariffs).
Zeljko Zubrinic
is managing the development of Remote Energy Monitoring's meter and data management infrastructure. He graduated in 1986 from Zagreb Electrical Engineering University and obtained his MBA in 2003.
He has been the architect and designer for many leading retail systems including petrol forecourt and hospitality solutions, electronic funds transfer (radio frequency) and general merchandise solutions, real-time stock management solutions for european food retailers.
He managed the professional services team in ICL which included software development, support and related IT engineering services.
He designed and implemented the data warehouse and management information systems for FT.com, including analysis of web user behaviour and subscription services. FT.com site is the leading online business information site in the World with over 3million unique users.
Zeljko joined Remote Energy Monitoring in August from NCR where he was Project Director managing their two largest retail customers in the UK.
Zeljko and Nigel have worked together for many years in PSI and ICL.
Alistair Wright
Alistair is a highly qualified engineer with many years technical and project management experience gained in a variety of industrial sectors including, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Water and in particular Smart Metering. He brings considerable technical knowledge and over 25 years project management experience to the team. Alistair has over 15 years experience of designing, developing and implementing complex enterprise systems on behalf of utility clients. Alistair was the architect of the Ubiquitis Industrial & Commercial Smart metering solution that supported Water, Gas and Electricity metering and included:
Alistair was responsible for the project management, system design, development and delivery of the data processing and data delivery systems used on the British Gas Domestic Smart Metering Technology pilot.
The pilot covered 35,000 homes, in 2 geographic locations over a 4 year period. It provided 5 minute sampling for electricity meters and recorded over 1,400 million meter reads - equivalent to an electricity meter read every 3 weeks for every home in the UK for a 4 year period. For gas meters it provided daily sampling with over 40 million meter reads processed - roughly equivalent to a gas meter read every six months for every home in the UK for a 4 year period.
