Remote Energy Monitoring design,develops and delivers complete end to end smart metering solutions. At the heart of our solution is a highly functional modular smart meter that operates in multiple modes e.g., credit or prepayment and import or export. It is available in Smart Ready, Smart Lite and Smart configurations which allows the energy utility to install either fully smart meters today or to install meters which are comparable in cost to traditional non-smart meters, but can be seamlessly upgraded to fully smart meters at a later date. Our secure communications network provides high speed "always on" secure communications across a number of communications technologies, including GPRS, and ensures that data is collected securely and when required by the business. Finally, a sophisticated meter and data management system called the Smart Metering Operations Suite (SMOS) automatically manages a distributed, mixed meter estate and captures usage data in defined time increments. Capture of the usage data is performed securely and at high speeds allowing seamless data capture, storage, analysis, and integration with a range of back office systems.

Next Generation Smart Meter Ready to Roll
Remote Energy Monitoring's V2 multi-mode meter has now been approved by the regulatory authority Ofgem. Having undergone extensive testing at SGS (UK), Ofgem's nominated laboratory, the V2 multi-mode meter is now fully certified for use in the UK.
The new V2 multi-mode meter is modular, can be upgraded in service and can be adapted to meet whatever communication or other technological options our customers choose in the future.
We believe our new meter has the broadest functionality at the lowest cost of any smart meter available in the market today.
